ABOUT CITADEL
Squash has a history in Ayr.
The Citadel Leisure Centre has long provided a place to play squash in Ayr. The venue has a history of competitive and social squash, although it is no longer a regular home for West of Scotland league competition.
Today, squash courts remain available for public hire. The opportunity is to reconnect existing players, welcome newcomers and explore whether a stronger local squash community can grow around the venue.
The Citadel Squash Club identity is a development proposal. No independent club sessions, league team or coaching programme are currently confirmed.

Play regularly
Our ambition is to make it easier for local players to connect, organise games and build a regular club night where facilities allow.
Get involved
Volunteers and local leaders can help create a welcoming squash community, supported by development opportunities through Scottish Squash.
THE NEXT GENERATION
Squash for juniors and families.
We believe bringing squash closer to families can help more young people try the sport. Our long-term aim is to explore beginner-friendly junior sessions with appropriately qualified coaches and safeguarding arrangements.
No junior coaching programme is currently advertised or open for booking.
