Bring players together
Identify local players and volunteers who want to meet, play and help create a welcoming squash community.
The court is here. Let's build the club.
Dundonald already has a place to play squash. Our ambition is to connect that existing facility with a local club identity, bring players together and help more people discover the sport.

Dundonald is already home to a squash court at its Activity Centre, giving the village a valuable local sporting facility.
Unlike some neighbouring venues, Dundonald has not historically had an established squash club. That makes this a different kind of opportunity: building a club identity around a court that already exists.
By working alongside the leisure facility, we want to introduce more people to squash, encourage repeat bookings and create a connection between players who might otherwise use the court independently.
Proposed club: Dundonald Squash Club is a development ambition, not an existing organised club. No club nights, league team, coaching programme or membership arrangements have yet been confirmed.

You don't need a proposed club membership to enquire about using the existing facility. South Ayrshire Council lists squash as a bookable activity at Dundonald Activity Centre.
Dundonald Activity CentreWe aren't seeking to recreate a club that used to exist. We're proposing something new: a recognisable local group that can work with the existing Activity Centre, make better use of its squash court and encourage long-term participation.
Identify local players and volunteers who want to meet, play and help create a welcoming squash community.
Explore beginner sessions, tasters and shared promotion with the Activity Centre, subject to agreement and demand.
Encourage repeat court bookings and sustained use of the existing facilities before considering further club activity.
With a court already available in the community, Dundonald has the foundations to introduce squash to new generations.
Junior tasters, introductory coaching and family activity are possibilities to explore in partnership with the venue—not sessions currently being advertised.

Ayrshire Squash is a development identity working within West Squash to expand opportunities to play across the region. The ambition for Dundonald is to link a new local club community to the existing Activity Centre and support participation through shared knowledge, volunteering and promotion.
