Galleon Squash Club was an established part of the West of Scotland squash scene, with its own team competing in the regional leagues.
As the number of available players declined, Galleon’s independent league team eventually stopped competing. Its history remains an important part of squash in Kilmarnock.
Today, the ambition is to reconnect that history with opportunities to play squash locally in Kilmarnock, supported by the wider Ayrshire Squash initiative.
Galleon is not currently advertising an independent league team or organised club sessions. Any future activity will be announced once arrangements are agreed.

For years, Galleon gave local players a club identity and the opportunity to represent Kilmarnock in regional squash. We want to build on that legacy and reconnect the local playing community.
The aim is to explore how the Galleon name can once again bring local players together, with introductory coaching, community activity and potentially regular club nights.

Galleon has a history of competitive league squash. The next step is to reconnect players and explore a regular local club night, subject to venue agreement.
Volunteers and local leaders can help create a welcoming squash community, supported by development opportunities through Scottish Squash.
We believe bringing squash closer to families can help more young people try the sport. Our long-term aim is to explore beginner-friendly junior sessions with appropriately qualified coaches and safeguarding arrangements.
No junior coaching programme is currently advertised or open for booking.

Ayrshire Squash is the local development identity working within West Squash to grow the sport across Ayrshire. Through a connected network of communities and venues, the aim is to share coaching knowledge, support volunteers and create more opportunities for people to play close to home.
