MOSSBLOWN
SQUASH CLUB

The court is here. The community can grow.

Mossblown Activity Centre already has a squash court but no established club built around it. Our aim is to help local players discover the sport, bring more juniors onto court and make better use of a valuable existing facility.

WELCOME TO MOSSBLOWN

A court on the doorstep. A chance to grow.

Mossblown already has a squash court at the Activity Centre on Mauchline Road. The venue gives people the chance to try the sport locally, without needing a new building or a long journey to another club.

There is no established Mossblown squash club based at the centre. The opportunity is to bring together interested players and volunteers, create a welcoming local identity and encourage more people to make use of the existing court.

By connecting the facility with the wider Ayrshire Squash initiative, we want to explore introductory sessions, school and junior links, family opportunities and sustainable regular participation—subject to the agreement of the venue and local demand.

Development proposal: Mossblown Squash Club is not currently an organised club. No coaching, club sessions, membership or league team has been confirmed.

BUILDING SOMETHING NEW

Make a local court a local community.

There is no historic Mossblown squash club to bring back. We want to build something new around what already exists: a working court, local interest and a community that could benefit from easy access to the sport.

01 · CONNECT

Bring local players together

Help residents, volunteers and potential organisers connect with one another and turn individual bookings into a recognised playing community.

02 · INTRODUCE

Help juniors discover squash

Explore pathways for schools, families and beginners so young people can try squash close to home, subject to venue and coaching arrangements.

03 · GROW

Increase court participation

Raise awareness of the existing facility and encourage repeat court hire, regular play and sustainable activity.

A LONGER-TERM GOAL

Bring squash closer to Mossblown’s young players.

The court already exists in Mossblown. A future local programme could give more children a straightforward way to discover squash in their own community.

We would like to explore local school links, introductory coaching and family-friendly participation with partners. These are proposals, not activities currently advertised for booking.

A court already here.
A welcome for new players.
A future we can build.

OUR REGIONAL CONNECTION

Connected through Ayrshire Squash.

Ayrshire Squash is a regional development identity working within West Squash to grow participation. For Mossblown, that means the chance to connect an existing court with shared coaching expertise, volunteers and a wider community of local players, while developing a distinctive village identity.
